  • Tuesdays 8.00 am – 12.00 noon
  • Thursdays 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm

Remote Desktop Access for students

Josh Gibson
School Captain Josh Gibson is a high achieving student who is popular with his peers and with the staff.  Josh has a long record of involvement with the Student Leader Council and is proactive in taking a leadership role within the school.
Josh’s academic achievements were recognized when he was awarded the Blue Ribbon Trophy for Excellence in the Junior School at the end of his Year 10 studies.   This is a major award that recognizes overall excellence across all subjects.
Josh is currently in Year 12 studying for his HSC and is planning a future career in Psychology.
Josh takes a keen interest in community affairs and is currently on the Maitland Youth Week Advisory Committee.  He was one of only two students from the Hunter/Central Coast region to be invited to go to Sydney to be “Director General for the Day” as part of 2009 Education Week activities, and in 2010 will be a member of the NSW Youth Parliament, travelling to Sydney to work with the Minister for Rural and Regional Affairs.
Josh won the Maitland Lions Youth of the Year award and will go forward to represent Maitland at the zone competition.   This involved a series of interviews together with planned and impromptu speeches.

David Summerville Head Teacher ICT
A highly respected and popular member of staff, David Summerville’s comprehensive knowledge of computer networking systems and technology is a valuable element of the highly acclaimed technology systems in place at Rutherford Technology High School.

David’s remarkable skills and knowledge were recognized by WorldSkills Australia where he rapidly made his mark and was invited to be the Australian Judge at the International WorldSkills competition.  From here he rose to hold the position of International Head Judge of the Webpage Design category, taking a key role at the biennial international WorldSkills competition where competitors from over 40 countries compete for the Gold Medal. This is all done in a voluntary capacity.

Rutherford Technology High School is fortunate to have someone of David’s calibre on the staff, where he is able to share his knowledge with students and staff, to the benefit of the entire community.
